I could tell that it was going to be one doozy of a week when I rolled out of bed yesterday morning.

I was greeted by this:

a sick child sprawled out on the sofa and making every attempt to feign wellness to avoid going to the pediatrician. But after about 30 minutes, the vomiting started, and it was all downhill from there. I immediately called the pediatrician for an appointment. At 9:23 am, they informed me that they were booked for the day. We'd have to wait until the following day.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the house, I was also dealing with a well child who was practically bouncing off the walls, moving from toy to toy and project to project. I was able to calm her down long enough to do a puzzle so that her sister could sleep in peace.

My day continued like this: cleaning up after sick child, picking up after well child. And so on. And so on. And so on.

Things are better today. The well child is taking antibiotics for strep throat (the cleaning up after her has stopped). And well, I don't mind picking up after the well child just so long as it doesn't turn into cleaning up after another sick child! :)

This too shall pass...

Oh how I can relate to this. I've got one over here with the flu, I think. We are on day 5 of fever and misery. The others--fine. Driving me slightly crazy at times. Can't go anywhere, can run any errands, appointments have been cancelled, etc., etc. Climbing.the.walls.

Good luck with yours!!!
