Wubble Bubble Ball: A New Way For Kids To Play

Monday, November 3, 2014
I'm always looking for new ways to get my kids off the electronics and outside to play. Other than the swings at the park or doing gymnastics in our yard, there are very few toys or activities that can hold my daughters' attention spans long enough to keep them entertained and occupied.

When I was asked to try the Wubble™ Bubble Ball, I jumped at the chance. This intriguing and innovative product looked like just the thing my girls needed for fun. Plus, with winter approaching, our days of outdoor play are numbered. The Wubble™ Bubble Ball is the perfect reason to get out there and take advantage of the fall weather.

Wubble™ Bubble Ball is a Family Fun Toy Of The Year Award Winner and was selected by Target as a 2014 Top Toy for the Holiday Season. It was listed among other popular toys and games that are sure to be on every holiday wish list this upcoming holiday season.

Inspired by his children's wish for a real bubble to play with, NSI President Frank Landi developed the Wubble™ Bubble Ball to keep children's love for fun, active play alive.

Wubble™ Bubble Ball is a bubble-like ball which inflates to around three feet in size. It looks like a big bubble, but can actually be played with like a ball. It comes with an air pump that requires four D batteries, which are not included. The inflation process is a bit tricky as you need to insert the inflation nozzle adapter deep enough into the ball so that it inflates. The first few times I inserted it, I was afraid that I would puncture the ball. But I soon realized that the nozzle must be inserted deep enough to fill the ball with air. Inflation time is about 2 to 3 minutes using the included air pump.

Once inflated, we took the ball outside to give it a go. I must admit, my girls feared they would break that ball on the first toss. But after they got it going, they loved playing with the Wubble™ Bubble Ball.

After throwing it around for a while, the girls became brave enough to kick it.

Sure enough, the Wubble™ Bubble Ball stayed intact. It can be thrown, caught, squished, punched, and yes, kicked. We had great fun playing a game of kick ball with it.

This quick video shows the Wubble™ Ball in action.

Durability
There are specific instructions that come with the Wubble™ Bubble Ball that recommend what to avoid when playing with the ball (trees, sharp objects, the claws of pets, etc). Our ball went into the street several times where there were sharp pebbles and stone and still remained inflated. As you can see from some of the backyard photos, we have shrubs and trees. The Wubble™ Bubble made contact on several occasions and did not pop. It was much more durable than I expected it to be.

Inflation Process
It took me several tries and a few minutes to get the hang of inserting the nozzle into the ball, but once I did, the inflation process was easy. It might be necessary to use a little bit of oil (baby, vegetable or olive will do) to insert the pump into the Wubble™ Ball the first time. If you have difficulty inflating your Wubble ball, this video about "How to Inflate a Wubble™ Ball" may be helpful to watch: http://youtu.be/jy4QK8zRcAo.

Deflating the ball is even easier, and it completely deflates for easy storage in its original box with all other components.

Cost
You can purchase the Wubble™ Ball at Target, Toys R Us and online at www.wubbleball.com. for $19.99 (including pump and all components) or $12.99 for just a ball. It comes with a lifetime replacement guarantee. At Target, the Wubble™ Bubble Ball can be found in the toys/sporting goods departments.

You can find Wubble Ball on Facebook and on Twitter.
