May Beauty Buys

Tuesday, June 2, 2015
As I gear up for summer, my beauty routine becomes more simplified and a lot less involved than other times of the year. I also start to focus efforts a little more on the parts of my body that have been ignored all winter long (legs and arms). As I transition into the warmer months, here are some of my favorite products from May.

Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic
I love sample and trial sizes because they are perfect for trying a beauty item without the cost commitment. These mini masks from Peter Thomas Roth are the perfect size for 3 applications. You get a good sense of whether the product is right for you. Included in this set is the cucumber gel mask, rose stem cell bio-repair gel mask, and the pumpkin enzyme mask. Oh, by the way, I loved the pumpkin enzyme mask the best, but they were all good.

This color corrector neutralizes redness, which is perfect for my rosacea. I've tried a similar but much more expensive product, and I have to say, this one worked just as effectively. It glides on smoothly and immediately controls redness.

I've tried my fair share of eye makeup removers. Many are too thick or too oily, but this remover from Sephora is just right. I either apply it to a cotton ball or too one of these cotton swabs to remove my eye makeup.

I am all about the nails in the summer. This subtle shade of purple is perfect for toenails or fingernails, and top it off with this top coat for a perfect mani or pedi.
