1. Running Sneakers - If you workout consistently, you should be replacing your running sneakers every 6-9 months. I wasn't always good about this until I recently when I had runner's knee and was told to replace my sneakers. If you run and walk a lot (which I do!), invest in a decent pair of running sneakers not just athletic shoes.
2. Water Bottle - An insulated water bottle is a must for me as I don't like to drink water that isn't ice cold. My gym has an ice/water machine, and I love filling up my cup (I actually use one like this) since it's easier to drink out of a straw while I am in motion rather than stopping to sip out of a bottle. But I've heard great things about Hydro Flask bottles if you are looking for a reusable water bottle.
3. Mesh Leggings - After trying lots and lots of workout leggings, I've finally found a handful of brands that I love and purchase over and over again. These are by Zella, a brand you can find at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, and I love them. They are great quality and reasonably priced, especially when they are on sale.
4. Gym Bag - I purchased this gym bag two weeks ago after having used totes that I had lying around. I really needed something with more room and pockets and compartments. The canvas totes worked fine when I was using the gym for working out only. But now that I am showering there more often, I really needed a larger bag for all my essentials.
5. Open-Back Tank - I bought this tank in black a few weeks ago when it was on sale for less than $15 (it's $21 now). You can never have enough black workout tops in your arsenal. This top is versatile and goes with just about every pair of workout leggings I own.
