I'm planning on immersing myself in all things Thanksgiving this weekend as I prepare for my absolute favorite holiday. I love that this holiday is all about good food, friends, family, and thankfulness without the added pressure of gift giving.
In today's Friday Fresh Picks, I'm sharing a few of my favorite Thanksgiving-related ideas, crafts, and foods.
Favorite Table Covering Idea
Rather than using an expensive fabric tablecloth, head to the craft store and purchase a roll of art paper. Cover the table with it and ask each guest to jot down what they are thankful for on this special holiday. (Photo credit)
Favorite Idea for a Veggie Platter
Turn a traditional veggie platter into a festive one by making a turkey out of it. This is just the cutest crudité tray ever. Add a small bowl of dip on the side if you wish. (Photo credit)
Favorite Thanksgiving Craft for Kids
Any craft that incorporates a handprint from my children ranks high on my list of keepers. This one is adorable and includes a footprint as well. What could make a more treasured keepsake? (Photo credit)
Favorite Pumpkin Pie Recipe
I love pumpkin pie, but the traditional recipe can get boring year after year. This year, I'm making this one with a sweet, crunchy streusel topping. (Photo credit)
Favorite Way To Display Gourds and Mini Pumpkins
I love this simple yet eye-catching way of displaying gourds and mini pumpkins. (Photo credit)
Favorite Platter for Your Carved Turkey
Favorite Idea For Thanksgiving Place Cards
Break out the spray paint to make these pretty place cards. If you're going with the art paper tablecloth idea noted above, these place cards will complement the table nicely. (Photo credit)
