My 2019 Reading Challenge and a Few of the Books I Plan To Read

Monday, January 7, 2019

I've always been an avid reader, but somewhere along the line, I veered off the reading path (kids, life, Netflix get in the way and leave little time for reading!). But over the summer I found my way back to reading consistently. For me, books are a great escape. They transport you to another world and give you a glimpse into a fictional life. Plus, they are a gateway to knowledge. So, the more you read, the more you know.

I've been a member on Goodreads for years, but it's only this year that I am finally participating in the reading challenge. I've challenged myself to read 35 books in 2019. Last year, I read 12 books, but only ramped up my reading in July. I chose 35 because it seemed challenging without being impossible.

Here are some of the books I plan to read this year.

1. Girls' Night Out by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke (currently reading, 70% done).
2. The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
3. The Pull of the Moon by Elizabeth Berg
4. He Will Find You by Diane Jeffrey
5. The Rule of One by Ashley Saunders
6. Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman
7. Bring Me Back by B. A. Paris
8. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
9. This Is Not Over by Holly Brown
10. Bleak Harbor by Bryan Gruley
11. Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
12. The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
13. I See You by Clare Mackintosh
14. The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
15. The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand
16. Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter
17. Tangerine by Christine Mangan

You can follow me on Goodreads here to see what else I've read and to follow my progress this year. I'll follow back! And if you have one, please leave a reading recommendation for me in the comments below.
