Just as expected, March came in like a lion. The first day brought a blanket of snow, and now we are expecting more snow this weekend. I can't complain. We've had a mild winter in terms of precipitation, at least here at the Jersey shore. So, I'll take it. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't completely ready for spring. OK, let's just bring on the summer weather.
Next weekend Daylight Saving Time ends. While I'm looking forward to longer days, I'm not happy about the dark wake up calls, even though I know how temporary they are.
This month on the blog we'll make the transition from winter to spring in every way. From beauty to food to fashion to travel, I'll focus on spring-friendly content as we bid winter its final farewell (good riddance). I'll be compiling and sharing questions from readers and of course, the answers. (If you've got a burning question for me, email it to me at info@piecesofamom.com).
In the meantime, don't miss these popular stories from February.

MARCH MUST-HAVES
This spring, we'll be seeing lots and lots of ruffles. On skirts, tops, bathing suits, bags, and more! Add this ruffle sleeve camp shirt to your wardrobe for an on-trend yet laid back look.
Speaking of spring trends, this spring's hottest nail colors are shades of slate, gray, blue and mineral neutrals. You can sport the trend in essie's "Tone It Down".
If you buy one new item this spring make it a trench coat. You'll use it over and over. This drapey trench is a spin on the classic trench and it's only $30 and also available 4 other colors.
Wardrobes should get a little more casual but not sloppy in the spring and summer. One of the ways to achieve that casual but classy vibe is with a slip-on sneaker. I love the woven detail on this one.
And don't forget to follow along on Instagram.
And on Pinterest.
Have a marvelous March! ☘️
