July Beauty Buys

I didn't realize it until I took the photograph of the items I am featuring this month that each one pertains to extending the life of a beauty product or service. These hot summer months can pose a real challenge to our hair, makeup, and nails. Makeup seems to melt right off my face. Salt water chips away at my nail polish. And my hair? Let's not even go there.

Thankfully my July Beauty Buys tackle these pesky problems.

1. Batiste Dry Shampoo $8
I've tried many varieties of dry shampoos, and I'm happy to report that I have finally found a favorite. I love that Batiste delivers that "just washed" look without the powdery look that so many other dry shampoos leave behind. In fact, Batiste actually adds a sheen to my hair rather than making it look ashy and dull, which is a common problem with dry shampoos. Plus, it's available in a convenient travel/purse size too.

2. Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat $6
The sun can quickly fade your nail polish, so a good top coat is a must. Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat adds a long-lasting luster that's similar to a gel top coat but without the harmful effects. Not only does it add shine, but it also provides a protective top coat to prevent chipping and discoloration.

3. Foundation Blender Brush $15
I picked this up on a whim but it has become one of my favorite makeup brushes. It evenly and smoothly blends foundation and concealer for a flawless look. No more streaks! I use it mainly under my eyes.

4. Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray $39
This ultra-fine, non-sticky mist will set your makeup in place for up to 16 hours. Think of it as hair spray for your makeup. It prevents fading and meltdowns in both cold and hot temperatures. It also adds a healthy and natural finishing glow to your makeup.

I'm linking up with #BeautyBuzz which is hosted by Momtrends, Mama In Heels, Musings of a Housewife, and Sassy Moms in the City.
