What We're Reading

Monday, March 4, 2019

My 2019 Goodreads reading challenge is moving right along. This week I'm started my 7th of 35 books. I already have my 8th book chosen and downloaded so I'll be ready to roll once I finish my current read. The book I am currently reading is an advance copy that was sent to me for a sponsored review on behalf of SheSpeaks and St. Martin's Press.

Here are the books we are currently enjoying:

What I'm Reading: The Girl He Used To Know by Tracey Garvis Graves (available for pre-order)
Fate brought them together. Tragedy tore them apart. Annika and Jonathan are reunited 10 years after they dated in college in Illinois. Can they rekindle what once brought them so much happiness? I'm not too far into this book, but so far I am loving it. There is a lot of depth to the characters, which is rare so early in a book. I'm finding myself rooting for Annika and Jonathan already. Stay tuned for a full review in a separate post. Note: I received an advance copy of the book to facilitate my review. You can pre-order it on Amazon for its release on April 2nd.

What Emma's Reading: 180 Seconds by Jessica Park
College student Allison gets roped into a social experiment just off campus. She is forced to interact with a total stranger for 180 seconds, something Allison has more or less avoided her life as she's kept everyone's at arm's length. To make matters worse, the complete stranger is Esben Baylor, a dreamy social media star. Neither is prepared for the outcome of their brief but intense chance encounter.

What Harper's Reading: What To Say Next by Julie Buxbaum
Everyone is surprised when a friendship develops between popular girl Kit and loner David. Kit appreciates David's blunt honesty and David appreciates Kit's inquisitive nature. Kit enlists David's help to find out what happened with her dad's tragic car accident, but will the truth destroy their friendship?
