I honestly don't go crazy with this sale. I've seen and heard of people buying upwards of 50+ items. Not me. I buy a few things that I need for fall, and nothing I buy is crazy expensive. I love basics with a twist that I can find under $50. Today, I'm sharing the items I've purchased so far. I'm not sure I'll invest in anything else unless I see someone else with it, and I get the itch to buy it as well. But for now, here's what I've purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Colorblock Faux Leather Envelope Clutch (Sale: $27.90 / After sale: $42.00) - Although they aren't practical for my everyday use, clutches are perfect for date nights and GNOs. I love the geometric lines of this one and the vibrant colors.
Sleeveless Wrap Dress (Sale: $71.90 / After sale: $108.00) - My nephew is getting married outside Salt Lake City over Labor Day weekend, and I think this dress is perfect for the rehearsal dinner or Sunday brunch after the wedding.
Faux Leather Jacket With Fur Collar (Sale: $64.90 / After sale: $98.00) - It's time for me to update my leather jacket collection. Last one I bought was years ago. I love that this bomber-style jacket isn't brown as most are. The light sage is perfect for fall (also available in black).
Patagonia Fleece Pullover (sold out) - Whenever I see Patagonia on sale, I snatch it up quickly. This fleece pullover sold out quickly, but keep checking back for re-stocks. This one is also sold out but may be restocked before the public sale begins.
NARS Liquid Lip Set (Sale: $49.00 / After sale: $104.00) - This kit includes 4 nude shades of lip gloss that glide on smoothly like a gloss but coat like a lipstick. I love NARS products, especially the eye shadows, but have yet to try the lip gloss. Super excited about this buy!
J.Crew Trés Chic Tee (Sale: $29.90 / After sale: $45.00) - When a graphic tee includes one of my favorite French phrases, I'm buying it!
Asymmetrical Zip Faux Leather Tote (Sale: $29.90 / After sale: $45.00) - This was my very first purchase from the sale, and it was love at first sight. As soon as I saw this bag, I knew I had to have it. I absolutely love the color and style of this bag. Can't wait to use it!
Open Toe Mule (Sale: $49.90 / After sale: $79.95) - These open toe mules were also love at first sight. I mean, c'mon, just look at them. I bought them in grey suede but they are available in black, red, and blush (shown in collage). At under $50, you can afford to splurge on more than one pair. I can't wait to wear these during late summer and early fall when the wear is beginning to get a chill in the air.
Diptyque Candle Set (Sale: $55.00 / After sale: $75.00) - I buy this candle set every single year. Why not? I love to give them as gifts when the occasion calls for something small but meaningful. Plus, they are splurge that not everyone wants to make, so they make an ideal gift.
Rag & Bone Skinny Jeans (Sale: $129.90 / After sale: $195.00) - There is absolutely, positively one thing I buy every year at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It's a pair of designer jeans. Honestly, you'll never find these prices again, so you need to go for it now. And if you are frustrated by the way jeans fit you, you've never owned a pair of designer jeans. Trust me, buy a pair. They are worth the money. I bought these in a size 26 and they fit like a glove. That's my normal size in jeans and the size I always go with in designer brands.
