Utilitarian chic is popping! From army style combat jackets to camo tees to jumpsuits, we are seeing all sorts of military-inspired styles this spring. I love this trend! This has been a look that I've been a fan of since Banana Republic first popularized the safari-chic style in the 1980s. There's a lot available to wear, but here are a few items I saw in stores lately and loved.
1. Ruffle Tee - Not only does this soft linen tee have a ruffle hem, but it also has an asymmetrical ruffle down the back (so cute!). Comes in 4 other colors.
2. Slip-On Sneaker - These casual sneakers seem to be the shoe of choice here in southern California. I've noticed them on everyone during our vacation. These are from Dr. Scholl's, so you know they are going to be comfortable and high quality.
3. Drawstring Shorts - You are going to want to buy these shorts in every color! This linen-cotton blend short will easily become your go-to to for weekend morning coffee runs in the summer. And, you can dress them up with sandals for nights out.
4. Tapered Pants - I saw these on the rack at American Eagle and thought they looked really comfortable. I had NO idea! The moment I tried them on, I didn't want to take them off. They are soft and fluid and oh so on trend!
5. Color Block Tote - Whether it's groceries you are hauling or are using this eye catching tote to store goodies, it's durable enough to handle the heaviest of loads. Available in 6 different color combinations.
