Happy Tuesday, friends! Over the weekend I finished up a few products so I thought I'd share them with you before I recycle the containers. Speaking of recycling, have you heard about Nordstrom's Beautycycle program? Nordstrom now accepts a variety of empty beauty containers that are often difficult or impossible to recycle through your local municipal recycling program. Look for containers in Nordstrom stores, and simply drop your empties in the boxes. Nordstrom works with a third-party vendor who cleans and recycles the containers, turning them into park benches, watering cans, and more.
So, now let's see what I used and loved recently.
1. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid
I'm a big fan of most products from The Ordinary. I'm a brand loyalist and have an entire vanity tray in my bathroom devoted to The Ordinary. However, the hyaluronic acid fell short of my usual high expectations of a product from the brand. It was on the sticky side, and somewhat watery. Since buying it and using it, I have read that those qualities in a hyaluronic acid are often indicators that the product is "cheap". For now, I'm not going to replenish this item, but instead, I'm going to try this hyaluronic acid instead.
2. Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Mist
I've been using this facial mist for years and absolutely swear by it. I like to spritz it on after cleansing but before serums and moisturizer. Or when I want a dewy glow after applying makeup, I'll spray it on. It's so refreshing and has a wonderful scent. It's also great for hydrating skin when you are flying. I like to keep the 4 oz. bottle in my carry-on bag.
3. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution
A few months ago when I started to notice dark circles after waking up, I immediately starting using this serum which helps reduce dark circles and puffiness in the eye area. It's also a great skin brightener, in general, and can be applied all over your face.
As we age, our skin loses it natural glow and bright complexion. These pads add a glow to your skin and help to shrink pores. They contain a 7-acid complex that reduces the signs of again and gives you a youthful glow.
5. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
I've shared before about how much I love this cleansing balm. If you've never tried a cleansing balm, prepare to fall in love. I have sensitive skin and many liquid cleansers have a tendency to aggravate my rosacea, making my skin red and blotchy. But cleansing balms are so gentle and effective without being irritating or drying. I've also heard great things about this one and this one.
