The new year is always an exciting time in blogging. Most bloggers have set goals for their blogs and are brimming with ideas for posts and improvements for their blogs. We are eager to dive right in on January 1st, and I am certainly no exception.
December is the busiest month for blogging with many brands trying to use their remaining budgets for sponsored posts. Gift guides are also incredibly popular with bloggers, leaving only a certain amount of time for organic, original content. But when January hits, the door swings wide open and we can get back to writing about the topics we love.
This month brings a clean slate to Pieces of a Mom, and I am particularly excited about that. I have lots of good stuff on the way, and you'll notice a few minor cosmetic changes to the appearance of the blog over the next few months.
I'll be partnering with my friends at Gazebo Room to offer a fun giveaway for 10 winners. I'll be introducing you to Girl Power Campaign, a fun and powerful way for parents to help girls develop their own identity and a healthy self-image and encourage them to follow their dreams.
As the new year kicks off, I'll be sharing a few fitness-focused posts for those who are hoping to get in an exercise groove and (finally!) make it stick this year. I bought a Fitbit last month, and it has been a great motivator for me. I'll be sharing ways to get the most out of your Fitbit as well as a few insights into how yoga has become my best friend.
Let's not forget how important a good beauty routine is during these harsh winter months. I have a few new products to introduce you to, and you can count on my usual Best Beauty Buys post early this month.
