Weekend Wrap Up

Sunday, January 24, 2016
This weekend was a doozy. We were socked with a snowstorm that dumped almost 2 feet of snow on us. Mother Nature is getting her revenge for all those warms days she blessed us with in December.

The snow is overwhelming. It's everywhere, and there is so much of it. Piled high everywhere you look. I'm trying to stay calm, but it's causing me major anxiety. The only upside is that the kids are loving playing in it.

Once again, our Hunter wellies are proving to be a wise investment. It looks as if they will be our footwear of choice for the next month.

We will be digging out until April.

Have you seen this video of the panda playing in the snow at the National Zoo? It definitely brought a smile to my face as I was pouting about all of the snow.

And how about this video of the baby koala? Too cute!

My mind has been on warmer weather lately (obviously!). I've been preoccupied with thoughts of warm summer days spent at the beach curled up with a good book.

This romper is perfect as a beach coverup, lunch with a friend, or running weekend errands. Now, if it would only go on sale.

I read about this book over the weekend, so I am putting it on my summer reading list.

Every blizzard requires an adult beverage of choice (oh c'mon, don't judge). For me, it was Four Sisters sauvignon blanc this weekend.
This week's Friday Fresh Picks also highlights a few of my snowy weekend essentials. Click here to check them out.

How did you spend your weekend? Stuck inside or out and about?
