Now that Emma and Harper are 14 and 10, respectively, and can fully grasp the importance of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, we've been having the time of our lives watching the Olympic Games this summer.

Initially, I figured the girls would be interested in watching gymnastics only since it's the sport that they participate in and love. But I've been pleasantly surprised by how much they are enjoying watching other sports, especially men's and women's swimming and women's volleyball.

We've been checking out the schedule each morning for the night's competitions and planning our nights around the events that we want to watch. I love how the girls are getting so involved in watching the Olympic Games and have genuinely taken in interest in various sports and learning about the athletes.

We've been obsessed with watching women's gymnastics. My girls have been doing gymnastics for years, so it's only natural that this is their favorite Olympic sport. They love watching Gabby Douglas come back for a second time around. They've been following her career since the Olympics in 2012 in London. I love that Emma and Harper get to see two returning Olympians on the women's gymnastics team, including Gabby Douglas. It's proof that the hard work pays off and age isn't a factor. Skill and talent beat age.

Gymnastics is more than a physical sport. It's a mental one as well. The mental discipline of the sport has helped the girls in other areas of their lives. Gymnastics has helped them develop good time management skills and has helped them to remain focus while doing homework or household chores. Gymnastics has also fostered their competitive spirit and has also helped them become good sports. They accept loss with grace, and appreciate every win as if it's their first.

For practices and competitions, the girls wear leotards. With full legs exposed, it's best to be clean shaven. Our razor of choice is Venus® Swirl Razor. It helps capture all the spots that other razors miss, and it navigates the tricky areas such as ankles and knees easily.

The Venus® Swirl Razor is designed with FLEXIBALL™ and five individually adjusting Contour™ blades to glide over curves for flawless skin, long-lasting smoothness, and ensures that there are virtually no missed hairs. For a smooth glide, Venus® Swirl Razor has a water-activated MoistureGlide™ serum, and a sleek handle enhances the razor's grip.

The Venus® Swirl Razor is a Procter & Gamble product and is available at Walmart for a low price (about $10). P&G is a proud supporter of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Team USA. Let’s power their dreams by shopping for P&G products at Walmart.

Has your family been watching the Olympic Games? What has been your favorite sport?
