Friday Favorites

Who remembers the Friday's Fresh Picks posts I used to do? It was a weekly series that I participated in with several other bloggers. It was a fun way for us to share the things we were currently loving or obsessing over with our readers in hopes that they'd love it too.

This week I was thinking about how much I miss writing those posts and participating in the link up. While I don't have any plans to get back into a link up, I am reinstating a similar type of post, Friday Favorites. Let's get to it!

1. Los Angeles Soy Candle ($18)
A few years ago I won a recipe contest sponsored by Stonyfield. The prize was a $1,000 gift card to Crate & Barrel. The other day I found the gift card in my desk drawer and discovered I still had a balance on it. I found this soy candle at CB2.com, a sister site and ordered it immediately. It was delivered today, and as soon as I opened it, I lit it. It smells sooooo good. This 100% soy wax candle is handcrafted in small batches at P.F. Candle Co. in Southern California. I've ordered P.F. Candle Co. candles previously from CB2 and have loved them for their quality and price tag.

2. Marble Laptop Sleeve ($17)
When I bought both of my MacBooks, they came with laptop sleeves. Although they were functional, they were anything but fun. Plain black and pretty boring sums it up. When I saw this marble one at Nordstrom Rack, I jumped on it. It's super cute and less than $20, so I went for it. Can't wait to use it when we go to Florida next week.

3. Harlem River Blues by Justin Townes Earle
I heard this song on Spotify recently when I was listening to one of the Spotify playlists...unfortunately I can't remember which one it was. Anyway, I heard this song, and I thought it sounded so much like a Johnny Cash song but with a more modern, updated sound. I like Johnny Cash on occasion, and I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan, but I was hooked on this song from the moment I heard it.

4. Lano Coconutter Hand Cream ($15)
I'm a sucker for the display items at the check out counters at Ulta and Sephora. I get sucked in every single time no matter how hard to I try not to look. On a recent trip to Ulta I picked up this hand cream in anticipation of dry hands come winter. I've used it a few times, and I love it. I'm going back for another tube to keep on my nightstand.
