Becoming a parent is the most amazing feeling in the world. It is a time in your life when you will change the way you think, find a new perspective, and finally, find your real place in the world. The first time you become a parent is the most daunting, exciting, and exhilarating time of your life. Having a baby is a wonder, and you will soon be wrapped up in all of those parent cliches. The first Christmas you spend with a baby is a special occasion. Here are some of the ways you can make the most of your baby's first Christmas.

Dress Up Time
Now that Christmas is here, it is time for you to enjoy everything that makes this season the jolliest of all. One of the things you want to do (and we know you can't resist!) when you have a baby is to dress them up. Christmas baby onesies come in all shapes and sizes and they can be simple red outfits, reindeer costumes, or something even more outlandish. Dressing your baby up in a cute costume is one of the joys of being a parent and it is definitely the first thing that should be on your list!

Create a Card
Before I had a family, I looked forward to receiving holiday cards from friends who had children. Once you have a baby in your life, a fun way to celebrate their first Christmas is to take a festive photograph and share this as a holiday card. It might seem cheesy, but you only have your baby at this age once and it can be a memory you treasure forevermore.

Meet Santa
Even though technically Christmas is a holiday that celebrates Jesus Christ, the most popular figure at this time of the year has to be Santa Clause. If you want to make a meal out of your baby's first Christmas, take them to a Santa's breakfast or brunch and say hello! This is a great way to celebrate the season and can create an adorable and memorable photograph!

Exchange Presents
As much as you will want to spoil your new baby rotten on their first Christmas, the truth is that they won't know what they are playing with. By all means, buy your baby some toys and gifts this holiday season, but you won't get a huge reaction from them when they open it up! Be smart and ask for things from family and friends which you actually need for your baby.

Personalize the Tree
When the festive season does roll around, another way to celebrate your new arrival is to add a personalized ornament to the tree. You can easily find photo upload baubles online and you can place your favorite photo of your baby or even take a festive image or two to use this for the decoration. This will be something you will cherish year after year and is a lovely reminder of their first Christmas.
