Happy September ~ Letter From The Editor

Monday, September 9, 2019

Anyone else trying to figure out how it has come to be September already? Whew! Summer sure did fly by. Last Wednesday when I was driving Harper to school, I couldn't help but to think that it seemed as if the summer never happened. Just like that I was back to the morning middle school commute grind. Anyway, it's good to have the girls back into a routine and back into the social swing of things.

September, here at the Jersey shore, is considered the "locals summer". Now that the summer visitors have gone home, it's our chance to enjoy the beaches...uncrowded and unspoiled. The weather in September is some of the best all year long.

As for me, I'm trying to get my groove back after a week in Delaware followed by the long Labor Day weekend. Re-entry into the real world has been challenging. I put my to-do list aside for a few weeks, and now I'm crossing things off frantically to catch up. We've all got a lot going on, and the best we can do it help each other through it.

This month on the blog I will FINALLY be sharing my nightly skincare routine. I've been promising to do this for months, but for some reason I haven't been able to get my act together to finish the already (mostly) written post. I need to take, edit, and pop in a few photos. One of the problems is that I keep adding a new product here or there, and then the entire skincare lineup changes. Also, I'll be sharing a quick guide to Rehoboth Beach. It will feature a few of my favorite places as well as places to stay, eat, drink, and things to do. Later this week, I'm sharing some cozy knits and things for fall...because you can never be too comfy once the cooler temps roll in.

I'll also be talking about the books I read last month. I plowed through four of them, and they were goodies! And of course, the monthly post where I share what the girls and I are currently reading. Although I've been reading a ton, I've also found time to squeeze in some good Neflix binges. I'll let you know what I've watched and if it's worth it for you to spend your time watching as well.

So stick around because there's a lot more than that coming to the blog this month. But in case you missed it, here are some of the popular posts from last month.

Also, be sure to check out my weekly series Weekend Dispatch where I share some ideas for how to spend your weekend.

SEPTEMBER MUST-HAVES

If there is one thing you buy this fall, make it a pair of dreamy super soft jogger pants. You can lounge in these and you can run errands in these and still look chic. Available in 8 colors. What are you waiting for?

And how 'bout a pair of slippers to go with those joggers? Again, these are perfect for knocking around the house or wear them out for your weekend morning coffee run. Available in 4 colors.

Camo is still all the rage, and I love that this open front fleece cardigan in blue rather than your typical camo green. Wear this as loungewear or as an everyday casual sweater with jeans.

You guys! These so cute open toe booties are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall. They are also available in black and blush, and at $35, you can buy a pair in every color! You're welcome.

And on Pinterest too.

Have a sassy September!
