This morning, bright and early, we kicked off a family vacation to Captiva, Florida by taking a limo to the airport. The kids get a huge kick out of riding in limos.
Our kids have been flying since they were babies. They settle in on the airplane, and we don't hear another peep out of them until we land.
We picked up the rental car and stopped to do a little grocery shopping. We have a full kitchen in our condo, and we take full advantage of it. I was starving and wanted to tear open everything we bought, but I refrained. It's a first day tradition to head to the Bubble Room for lunch. If you ever get to Captiva, a stop at the Bubble Room is a must. The desserts are amazing. In fact, so amazing that I once devoted a post to them. Go read it!
We checked in and savored some freshly squeezed OJ at the reception center. A nice touch, but where's the champagne?
We headed to our condo and unpacked. I took a quick nap, and then we headed to the beach to watch the sunset.
We headed home and had a light dinner and went straight to bed after that. We were exhausted!
