This time of year, I admittedly go a little overboard with the plaid. I wear it. I decorate with it. I dream about it. The thing is...can you ever really have too much plaid in your life? Um, no. So, if you aren't convinced that plaid is the greatest print ever, here are a few of my favorite plaid items to help convince you. And many of these would make great gifts too!

1. Sherpa-Lined Flannel Robe - Wrap yourself in warmth and comfort this winter in this cozy sherpa-lined robe. This classic robe from L.L. Bean is a worthwhile investment that will last for years.

2. Ruffle Neck Plaid Top - If you are looking for an outfit to a casual holiday party, this top solves the problem for half the outfit. Pair it with a leather skirt, leather leggings, black jeans or moto-style cords for a look that is elegant but not over the top.

3. Plaid Alphabet Mug - I saw these mugs in the store at Pottery Barn and immediately thought, "Do I really need another mug?" I passed them up in the store but came home and couldn't stop thinking about how cute they are. I ordered them online for in-store pickup and I love them. They are so festive for this time of year but can definitely be used year round as well.

4. Tartan Bow Hair Tie - If you are apprehensive about dipping your toes into plaid fashion, then start small. This bow hair tie will keep your look festive and subtle.

5. Sherpa-Lined Slippers - I own these slippers, and I rarely take them off my feet in the house. They are so comfortable that I often forget than I am wearing anything on my feet. And that's saying a lot because I was NEVER a slipper person before I bought these.

6. Tassel Pouch - This mini accessory packs a punch. Use it as a coin purse or a wallet. It's super cute and stylish and is sure to turn heads the moment you pull it out of your bag.

7. Embellished Wine Bag - While most wine stores make an attempt to wrap a bottle in a pretty manner, that silver cellophane wrap falls short of being impressive. These wine bags are pretty and reasonably priced, making them ideal for gifting your favorite bottle of wine to friends.

8. Plaid Tray/Platter - I love trays not only for serving but for displaying as well. This tray would work for appetizers and desserts for a holiday party or for arranging candles and greens as a decorative touch to a table.

9. Passport Case - For the jetsetters on your list, this chic passport case will be cherished and a welcomed sight on long flights and layovers.

10. D'Orsay Flats - I own these shoes, which are also available in navy, and I love them. They are especially fun and festive this time of year, but I wear them year round.
