Every year since they were able to write, my daughters have put together Christmas lists. They've been helpful to "Santa" as well as to family members looking for gift ideas. As the years have passed, the lists have evolved. They started out as short lists of scribbled misspelled words and have now become elaborate lists of printed photos and URLs since they now know who "Santa" is.air pods | facial spray | iPad | bath bomb | sneakers | wireless charger | pocket printer | necklace
And I might add that as my girls have gotten older, the items on the wish lists have become fewer but more expensive. Gone are the days of the $20 art kits and $5.00 books. Now it's expensive electronics and brand name clothing.
For today's gift guide feature, I'm sharing what's on Harper's holiday wish list. It's short, sweet, and age-appropriate for an 12 year old.
1. Apple AirPods (Apple, $160)
Isn't this on every kid's wishlist this holiday season? Both of my girls want AirPods this year. They seem to be the gift to get if you don't already own a set.
2. Vans Sneakers (Nordstrom, $40)
It's so true that what goes around comes around. I mean who would have thought that the Vans sneakers made insanely popular by Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High circa 1982 would ever be popular again? Both of my girls have worn Vans for a few years now. The Old Skool sneakers have gained popularity over the iconic black and white checkerboard sneakers in recent years.
3. HP Sprocket Photo Printer (Target, $100)
This cool pocket printer lets you print photos from Android smartphones or iPhones via the Sprocket app. Allows on-the-go printing of wallet-size photos for birthday parties, friends, and any other fun occasion.
4. Lush Bath Bombs (Lush, $7/each)
Lush bath bombs are not only luxurious, but they smell amazing! And they make the bath water all sorts of fun and funky colors while hydrating your skin. That's what I call double duty!! They cost per each varies, but most run around $7...and they are all natural.
5. Block Letter Monogram Necklace (Anthropologie, $38)
These monogram necklaces seem to be popping up all over at local jewelry stores, but this one from Anthro is Harper's favorite. It's slightly oversized to make a bold statement.
6. Wireless Phone Charger (HSN, $61)
When we upgraded Harper's phone in the summer, the Verizon salesperson tried to sell us a wireless charger. At the time, we had little interest, but since that time, we've learned more about them and have come to realize how much better they are for your battery than a traditional charger.
7. Mario Badescu Aloe, Sage, and Orange Blossom Facial Spray ($7)
Both Harper and I love the facial spray line from Mario Badescu. This one is a new addition and is going to be a fabulous stocking stuffer!
8. New iPad ($450)
Harper's iPad screen is cracked, and although the cost to repair it is ultimately less expensive than buying a new one, a new one almost makes more sense considering hers is a few years old. She has it on her list as "nice to have", but we'll fix the cracked screen if a new one isn't in the cards.
