When my daughter was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, we started buying Sparkling ICE carbonated beverages as an alternative to fruit laden juices and soda. It didn't take long before the whole family was hooked on these tasty, zero-calorie, zero-sugar drinks.
This summer I've been experimenting with different flavors when mixing up cocktails. The Poolside Lime Fizz has become a favorite. It's light and refreshing and perfect after a long day at the beach or pool.
Poolside Lime Fizz
Ingredients
4 oz. Lemon Lime Sparkling ICE
1.5 oz. vodka
Lemon and lime slices for garnish
Preparation
1. Fill a highball glass with 2 or 3 ice cubes. Add the vodka. Add the Lemon Lime Sparkling ICE. Gently stir to combine. DO NOT shake or you will lose the carbonation in the Sparkling ICE.
2. Garnish with the fresh lemon and lime slices.
