Happy December ~ Letter From The Editor

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

As I sit down to write this post, I am knee-deep in holiday decorations, and my house looks like it played host to the Tasmanian Devil over the weekend. Ahhh, welcome to the holiday season. It's the most joyous (and hectic) time of the year. My 24-hour goal is to wrap up the decorating so that I can relax and enjoy the beauty of them. We're all friends here, so let's be honest. That 24-hour goal will most likely stretch out over the next 7 days.

We are gearing up for a busy month on Pieces of a Mom. This month you'll find the blog chock full of gift guides, recipes, holiday outfit inspiration for moms and kids, and ideas for holiday home decor. There will be beauty products and tips galore as I partner with a major beauty store brand. And what would the holidays be without an awesome giveaway? I've got a good one this month, and it will be announced on December 7th, so be sure to check back next week.

And of course, I'll be sharing my favorite fab finds in Friday Fresh Picks each week and all my favorite stories from around the web every Thursday in my Best Online Reads series.

Stay tuned! There is so much good stuff slated for December, and of course, if there is anything specific you want to see covered, send me an email at piecesofamom {at} gmail {dot} com.

In the meantime, sit back and enjoy these favorite stories from November.

My current fashion obsession: PLAID!

Give your breakfast a kick with these 3-pepper breakfast potatoes.

December Must-Haves

Anything plaid will work, but I especially love this plaid shirt from J. Crew.

A fabulous pair of over-the-knee boots. I love this pair, currently on sale for under $90.

My favorite winter fashion accessory is by far my faux fur vest. I wear it with dresses and jeans, striped tops and solid sweaters. It literally looks good with anything you pair with it.

Put the entertaining into high gear with these festive tartan plaid plates.
See what I'm pinning!
