My girlfriend Sue and her family were vacationing in Ocean City this week and kindly invited us down for a visit. After checking the weather forecasts and juggling some plans, we decided that yesterday would be the perfect day. And a perfect day it was.
Sue and I have been friends since Kindergarten. We've always remained in touch in some form or another, but more recently, with the deaths of my parents and the advent of Facebook, we've rekindled our wonderful friendship.
We spent the day at the beach and went out for dinner afterwards. It was such a fantastic day. I loved catching up with Sue. When we were teenagers, we spent all our summer days together hanging out at the local pool and chasing cute boys. Times have certainly changed for us, but our friendship remains, and I am grateful for that and for the time I spent with her and her family yesterday.
The kids were a little upset not to have made it to the boardwalk, but I promised them we'd make the trip some other time this summer.

The kids spent the entire day digging this hole and playing in it.

Great pictures! Love you!
I know you're friends but barring the hair color you kind of look like you could be sisters or cousins at least. So glad you had a great time with your friend and that your kids all get along. Looks like a wonderful time at the beach, I'm looking forward to our first time there for the season.
Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!
