It's chock full of suggestions for places to visit and things to see. I take the title with a grain of salt. Really, before you're 12? I don't think so. Before you're 80, maybe. Anyway, here are a few of the suggestions:
a lighthouse
an aquarium
the house where your parents grew up
a cemetery
a street market
a famous road (Route 66)
a marvel of engineering (think The Golden Gate Bridge)
Living at the beach offers us many options, but every so often, I like to veer off the beaten path, and this book offers plenty of ideas for doing just that.
I found 101 Places You Gotta See Before You're 12 by Joanne O'Sullivan at Barnes & Noble. It is also available at amazon.com.
