Being a mom isn’t easy. Life is hectic and stressful. That’s why every now
and then you need to treat yourself to help improve your mood and keep your spirits up. It’s easy to
get weighed down with that stress and worry that comes with daily life, but
if you take the time to make your wellness a priority, you can alleviate the
stress that you are under. Here are some of the ways I treat myself to when I need to improve
my mood and reduce stress.
1. Book a Spa Day
If there is one thing that will
relieve any stress that you are under
it's an indulgent spa day. Whether you opt to go to a spa alone or with
your friends, it’s the perfect way to relax and unwind. Have a massage,
spend some time sitting in a hot tub, treat yourself to a champagne brunch or afternoon
tea. It’s amazing how much more relaxed and
calm you will feel after spending just a few hours at a spa.
Go Out for Lunch
Sometimes all it takes to boost your mood is getting out of the house, and
what better way to do that than by heading out to lunch? Having a nice
lunch prepared for you by someone else is a great way to give your mood a
boost, especially if it’s at one of your favorite places. Fancy a
relaxed lunch alone? Don’t be afraid to dine out solo! Prefer to dine with
your friends? Then why not invite the girls along?
Have a Girls Night In
There’s no one better than your girlfriends to give your
mood the boost it needs. Plan a girls night in; this could be a movie
night, a dinner party, a pamper night, or even a cocktail making night - it
doesn’t matter what you do, just as long as you have fun. If you've always wanted to play mixologist for a night, purchase some liqueurs and spirits. Check out the prices
of all of these online, such as
Kikori whiskey price, for instance - as well as some mixers. You can either Google cocktail recipes. Spend
the evening having a laugh and making cocktails - for anyone who doesn’t
fancy having a or ask your guests to bring a cocktail or mocktail recipes to the party.
Buy Yourself a Bouquet of Fresh Flowers
Treating yourself to a bouquet of
your favorite flowers could help to brighten your mood. It’s amazing how much happier having a
bouquet of flowers can make you. We typically think of fresh flowers as a gift we receive from someone else, but you don’t have to wait for someone
else to treat you to flowers - it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself to
them.
