25 Days of Christmas: Day 6 ~ Festive Glassware

Tuesday, December 6, 2011
I am not a big fan of decorated glassware. I want to drink my wine out of a plain, wine glass. I don't need fancy things painted on my glass in order to enjoy my wine.

BUT, at the holidays, it's all about the decorations...including the glassware. I've purchased several pieces of decorated stemware over the years and was looking to add to my collection when I came across Designs by Lolita, a small, female-owned business. Lolita Healy started the company, and her vision has spawned a multi-million dollar empire. Cheers to her success!

Inspired by delicious cocktails in dull, boring glasses, Lolita has created some beautiful handpainted glasses. If you are looking to splurge on a special gift for someone, here are some of her designs.

Save the holiday sweaters for Aunt Millie. I'll take mine on a wine glass.
"Better Than A Sweater" wine glass $23.95 each

A nice, cold Cosmo in this glass would be delish!
"Frosty" martini glass $39.99

Pier 1 Imports always has a great selection of holiday drinkware.

I love the double red swirl glasses. All types $6/each.

The festive stripe stemware is bright and colorful. Available in martini and goblet. $10/each.

I love the deep red color of this wine glass from Crate & Barrel $5.95/each

Toast the holidays with these beautiful Champagne flutes from Luminarc. $17.00/set of 4. Available from amazon.com.

Don't forget the kiddos at the party! These acrylic glasses are perfect for serving a kid-friendly punch. $4.50/each, available at Crate & Barrel.

* Enjoy the holidays responsibly.
