The Elf keeps a watchful eye on the kiddos during the day. At night, the Elf leaves to travel to the North Pole to report back to Santa. Where the Elf can be found the following morning is anyone's guess! It's fun. It's an opportunity to get creative and an engage in some trickery with your little ones.
Our Elf, affectionately, known as Jolly Holly came to stay with our family last year. She was a big hit. Christmas hasn't been the same since her arrival.
This is how Harper found her this morning:
She raided the remains of the Halloween candy. Frankly, I'm glad she did it before I did!
Surprisingly, there are still many who don't know about the Elf on the Shelf. I wanted to feature it early in my 25 Days of Christmas so that those who wanted could still purchase one (or make one if you are so creatively inclinded) in time to have some fun before Christmas Day. Because on Christmas Eve, the Elf leaves with Santa after Santa delivers the gifts.
Barnes & Noble is offering 20% off Elf on the Shelf purchases through December 5th. To order online, go to http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ and enter code B4A7M7U at checkout. To buy in-store, click here to print a coupon.
Let the fun begin!
